Live Spot Prawns Customer Appreciation Special
Please note that if you pre-order any other seafood products in your cart will be automatically REFUNDED. You will NOT be able to pick up anything but spot prawns at our boats.
Live spot prawns are a delicacy and available during harvest starting on May 15th. The season lasts 5-6 weeks. Our live, fresh, wild-caught, and sustainable live spot prawns are harvested in the Georgia Strait. Starting May 15th, our boat docks daily and you will be able to pick them up from one of our locations (or check out delivery options here).
Tasty and versatile. You and your dinner date would not be disappointed in this decadent treat! Spot prawns are almost a cross between a lobster and a dungeness crab, known to have a sweet, rich buttery flavour, so not only are they heavenly, but sustainable as well. Live spot prawns can be prepared in so many different ways from grilling on your barbecue, steaming, baking, broiling, shell on or shell off. It's all up to you!
- great source of protein
- 12-15 spot prawns per pound
- no preservatives
- wild-caught, never farmed or genetically-modified
- we do NOT grade our live spot prawns so you will get XL ones in your order!

When picking up: If you have a large order, you may bring your own cooler with ice to transport your live spot prawns home if you have a long way to go. Make sure to NOT submerge your live spot prawns in the ice because fresh water will kill them right away once the ice melts, but you may place the bag on top. You can also choose to buy a large, empty styrofoam box off of us for $15 and gel packs for $2 each. The styrofoam box holds approximately 10lb of live spot prawns.
Storage: We recommend taking the heads off (if you aren't going to eat them right away) storing your live spot prawns in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge, and serve as soon as possible. You may freeze your spot prawns in plastic containers with water, however it is best to eat the spot prawns within two days of thawing. They will last in your freezer up to a year.
