What is Chum Salmon Caviar (Ikura) ?
Salmon caviar, also known as red caviar, is a very popular delicacy and prized all around the world for it's flavour and texture. In Japan, it is known as Ikura and in Eastern Europe where it is called Ikra. Our Ikura are from wild salmon eggs. There are different types of Ikura (Salmon Caviar), however we offer Chum, which is the most prized of all salmon caviar. Chum Salmon has a much larger roe diameter than all other species with an average of 9mm.
